Crackled Daisy 🌼

We're creating a beautiful daisy art piece that's perfect for beginners! This project features a striking blue crackled background, white glass pieces for the daisy petals, seed beads for the flower center, and green glass vase pieces for the leaves. With very minimal painting required, this glass art tutorial is easy to follow and results in a stunning piece you’ll be proud to display. 

For this art piece, I had been experimenting with crackle and came up with this background. I am using an 8x10 wooden frame that I painted with Tropical Blue, added Elmer's glue for crackle, and then painted another coat of Tropical Blue on top.

Next, I found some white sheet glass that I had cut into flower petals with my wheeled nippers. You will want to do this with gloves and eye protection on! I also have two cut pieces of green vase glass for the leaves.

We are going to mix our resin first, then start creating our flower by layering the glass flower petals. We will add resin in between each layer. Make sure you have all of your materials ready to go before mixing your resin!

We're going to elevate our wooden frame using blocks. Mix 1.5 oz total of ArtResin and stir gently for three minutes. Pour a dollop of resin onto the surface, using a silicone brush to spread it in a thin layer. 

First, add a pile of Bead Treasures Seed Beads in Yellow Luster to create your flower center. Next, we will start layering our white glass petals. Start with the biggest pieces and arrange them around the flower center. I am using a clear squiggly piece of scrap glass for my stem that I will add in now.

Next, add more resin on top of the glass and continue adding layers and layers of your flower petals. Resin on top of your flower. Add in your glass flower leaves and more yellow seed beads in your center,  and add resin on top of that. 

Use a heat gun to pop your bubbles. Keep your heat moving at all times!
