I'm sharing how to make this creative glass art project where we’ll be painting a bright and cheerful lemon-themed piece. I’ll walk you through each step, from tracing the lemons onto your canvas to adding vibrant colors and finishing touches with glass bottle rings. This tutorial is perfect for anyone, whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out!

Grab your tracer, tape it to your canvas, place graphite paper underneath, and trace your lemons with a stylus. You don't have to trace all of the details, but just the shape of your lemons.

Next, we will paint our background with a blend of Desert Turquoise, Bahama Blue, and white paint, making sure to go around our lemons. Paint the sides of your canvas too, and dry with a heat tool.

Paint your leaf with a basecoat of Hauser Green Light. Dry it with a heat tool and add a second coat of paint. Add shadows with Plantation Pine and highlights with white paint.

Now, let's work on our lemons! First, I'll apply a base coat of white paint. Using a liner brush, paint the skin of the lemon with Golden Yellow. Dry with a heat tool.

Grab your tracer again, tape it to your canvas, place graphite paper underneath, and trace the details of your lemon onto your canvas.

Paint the insides of your lemon with Crocus Yellow, making sure not to go all the way to the edge of the lemon. Blend in white paint into each section and add Golden Yellow to create definition between each section of the inner lemon. Paint white paint around the lemon's edge and add more white lines for definition.

Add a second coat of Golden Yellow to the whole lemon. Blend in white for highlights and Pure Orange for shadows. I'll also add some Pure Orange to the peel of my other lemons. To create a shadow underneath the lemons, add some darker blue paint, yellow, and white. Dry with a heat tool.

Use a graphic pen to outline your lemon and add detail lines with short, quick strokes.

Let's add glass! I have glass bottle rings from Etsy that I'll be using for my lemons. I'll also add Starfire glass to the lemons.

We're going to elevate our canvas using blocks. Mix 3/4 oz total of ArtResin and stir gently for three minutes. Pour the resin onto your glass and canvas and use your gloved fingers or brush to spread it over the entire canvas.

Use a heat gun to pop your bubbles. Keep your heat moving at all times! Finally, I'll sprinkle Crystal Seed Bead onto my lemons.
