Noel 🎄

Looking for a unique, handmade gift or stocking stuffer? This adorable 6x6 Noel canvas is the perfect festive touch! With a blend of paint, reflective glass, mini pinecones, and resin, it’s a quick and creative project that makes a thoughtful gift for loved ones - or a charming addition to your holiday decor.

Start by painting the background with a coat of white paint, then blend in some Desert Turquoise to add color. I’ll use a squiggling motion to create texture. I’ll also make sure to paint the sides of the canvas. Once that’s done, I’ll dry it with a heat tool.

Grab your tracer, tape it to the canvas, place graphite paper underneath, and trace the evergreen branches and the word "NOEL" onto your canvas.

Mix a small amount of Avocado paint with water to thin it slightly, then use a liner brush to carefully paint the evergreen pine needles. Start with the center branch, and gently sweep the brush outward from the middle to form the pine needles. Aim for thin, imperfect lines to give a natural look. Continue adding strokes until the branch looks full and balanced.

Use a black Posca Pen to write the word "NOEL" onto the canvas. Dry with a heat tool.

Add Green Reflective glass to the evergreen branches. Next, we'll resin and add even more glass and embellishments after! 

We're going to elevate our canvas using blocks. Put on rubber gloves. Mix 1/2 oz total of ArtResin and stir gently for three minutes. Pour the resin onto your glass and canvas and use your gloved fingers or brush to spread it over the entire piece. 

Use a heat gun to pop your bubbles. Keep your heat moving at all times! Finally, add mini pinecones and 6mm red beads to your Green Reflective glass. I'll also sprinkle Crystal Luster seed beads throughout the evergreen as well as in the background.
