Rose Gold Ornament 🎄

We are making a cute little rose gold ornament art piece, complete with holly berries made from beads and lots of rose gold glass. I absolutely love the combination of colors on this one, and the best part? It is so easy to create! If you are just getting started in your glass art journey, this one is for you! 

We are going to start by painting our background with Metallic White. I'm also going to add some Splendid Gold, adding streaks in a diagonal direction to give it some texture. Dry with a heat tool.

Find something round that you can use to trace around to create your ornament on your canvas. I have a plastic ornament half to use, which worked perfectly. I'll also sketch on my ornament topper, holly leaves, and evergreen branches.

I'm going to paint the ornament with Rose Shimmer and the top with Splendid Gold. I'll paint my holly leaves with a base coat of Hauser Green Light. Dry with a heat tool.

Add another coat of gold to your ornament topper and another coat of Rose Shimmer to the ornament. I'll also add some FolkArt Glitterific Pink Neon to my ornament topper for some sparkle.

Let's work on our evergreen branches. I'm going to take an eyelash brush and water down some Plantation Pine to create the pine needles. Load the paint and roll it to get the excess off. Lightly touch your brush to the canvas and add lines coming from the branches. 

Finish off your holly leaves by adding shading with Plantation Pine on the left side of each leaf and highlights with white on the right side of each leaf. 

Take a graphic pen and add some detail lines to your holly leaves (some outlines and some veins) and add some quick strokes to your evergreen needles. I'll also take a Posca paint pen and sketch on an ornament hook. 

Now, let's add glass! I am adding rose gold glass to my ornament. 

We're going to elevate our canvas using blocks. Mix 1/4 ounce of resin and stir gently for three minutes. Pour the resin onto your glass and spread it onto your canvas using your gloved fingers or brush.

Use a heat gun to pop your bubbles. Keep your heat moving at all times! Then, add in some red beads to create holly berries where your leaves are.
