Stenciled Pumpkin 🎃

I love making pumpkins, and this is a super fun one with lots of glass, seed beads, and stenciling! I'm making this on a 10x10 canvas and I will show you exactly how I made this stenciled pumpkin that is perfect for the fall season. 

First, paint your background with white paint and add a little bit of Hauser Light Green. Try to focus your color on the upper portion of your canvas since your pumpkin will be towards the bottom.

Grab your tracer, tape it to the canvas, place graphite paper underneath, and trace your pumpkins with a stylus onto the canvas. 

I'm going to use Spiced Pumpkin, Toasted Terracotta, and Gilded Oak to paint my pumpkin. I'm going to paint each pumpkin section. I will start with the Spiced Pumpkin and add highlighting and definition with the other colors. I'm also painting the stem with brown, green, and white paint. I'm also painting a green leaf with light green, dark green, and white. Let dry.

Now, we are going to stencil. I have this pretty paisley stencil that I will line up with my center pumpkin section. I'm using Metallics Splendid Gold paint to add my stencil design. I'm taping the stencil down to my canvas and using a fat stencil brush.

I'm going to continue to add more stencils to my pumpkin. 

I'm taking the tiniest bit of brown paint on the corner of my brush, and adding some shadowing on the darker side of my pumpkin. 

Next, I'm going to add details with my graphic pen. Just outlining my pumpkin with short strokes and adding a curly q coming off of the stem. 

Now it's time to add glass! I'm adding Solex Reflective glass to the bottom of the canvas. Then, I'm adding Starfire glass to my pumpkin.

Next, we will add resin. We're going to elevate our canvas using blocks. Mix 1 ounce of resin and stir gently for three minutes. Then, drizzle over your glass. Pour the remainder of resin onto your canvas and spread it using your gloved fingers or brush.

Use a heat gun to pop your bubbles. Keep your heat moving at all times!

I will also sprinkle some seed beads on my piece. I'm using the color Autumn and Translucent seed beads and adding those to the my pumpkin.
